Plastic Footprint and Plastic Credits

The plastic footprint is a critical indicator used to measure the environmental impacts of plastic pollution resulting from a company’s activities. A Plastic Credit represents 1 ton of plastic waste that has been collected, recycled or verified in accordance with the Plastic Standard.

There are three types of Plastic Credits under the Plastic Standard:

Plastic Collection Credits
Plastic Sorting Credits
Plastic Recycling Credits

Perfect Green and our solution partners have initiated Türkiye’s first nationwide plastic program, implemented in line with the Waste Plastic Reduction Program Methodology published by VERRA on 10 February 2021.

Considering the rapidly increasing plastic waste levels in Türkiye and worldwide, we take pride in leading this transformation and being among the few companies developing plastic credit projects.

We are also developing a digital certification and monitoring infrastructure to enable real-time global tracking of future plastic credit trading and management processes.
